Meet AI & Quantum Investors: For startups & scaleups

The DeepTech Network’s Investor Series is back – with a special focus on AI and Quantum!
Join Imperial College London and Nexus for an evening of insight, innovation and investment, designed exclusively for deep tech startups and scaleups. This instalment of the DeepTech Network’s Investor Series brings together a hands-on IP workshop and an AI & Quantum-focused investor panel, all under one roof.
16:30–17:30 – Protecting your DeepTech IP: A practical workshop for startups
Before you meet investors, you should get your IP in order.
This interactive workshop, led by Dr Parminder Lally (Imperial graduate and patent attorney), is tailored for ALL early-stage deeptech founders (sector agnostic)
Knowing how best to protect innovations in newly-emerging and fast-developing fields can be difficult, particularly as the law lags behind technological advances. In this workshop, Parminder will cover the IP essentials every fundable startup should know, from whether AI-based innovations can be patented, to commercialising training data, to knowing when the right time is to protect quantum-based research.
Bring your questions – there’s time set aside for practical discussion.
17:30-20:30– AI & Quantum Investor Panel + Networking
Stick around as we turn our focus to investment. Hear directly from experienced deeptech investors and sector leaders who are actively backing AI and Quantum startups.
You’ll gain insight into what funders are looking for in today’s climate and how to position your startup for success.
