Imperial at London Tech Week 2026

Join Imperial College London at London Tech Week (8–12 June 2026) — the UK’s flagship celebration of innovation, technology and global collaboration, bringing together senior technology leaders, enterprise founders and investors from more than 120 countries.

Organised by London & Partners, Founders Forum Group and Informa, and supported by the UK Government, the Mayor of London, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and the Department for Business and Trade, London Tech Week (LTW) is a cornerstone of the UK’s global tech leadership. Imperial College London will be at the heart of the event, exhibiting at the Olympia London expo and contributing expert speakers to key panels.

This year’s LTW programme spans the full spectrum of emerging and transformative technologies, with key themes including AI, deep tech, quantum, startups, enterprise resilience, UK and European tech leadership, and the human impact and national security dimensions of technology. The expo and content stages will form one of the most influential gatherings of enterprise leaders, startup innovators, investors and technologists anywhere in the world.

Visitors can find Imperial at Stand 229 in Enterprise World, one of the two main exhibition zones at London Tech Week. Across the week, Imperial teams will highlight cutting‑edge research, breakthrough ventures, and Imperial’s unique ability to bring together academia, industry, government and investors within its WestTech London ecosystem to accelerate innovation with real‑world impact.

Innovation Arc Day – Tuesday 9 June

12:30–13:15 | Roundtable: Turning UK Discovery Into Global Advantage

Alyssa Gilbert, Director of Innovation at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment and Co‑Director of the School of Convergence Science, will join a cross‑disciplinary panel exploring how the UK can translate scientific excellence into global competitive advantage.

Deep Tech Stage – Tuesday 9 June

17:00–17:30 | Rebuilding the Mineral Value Chain: From Discovery to Sovereign Processing

Dr Nigel Steward, Director and Professor of Practice at the Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance (CSEP) at Imperial, will moderate a discussion on reshaping the mineral value chain for resilience and sustainability.

Deep Tech Stage – Wednesday 10 June

11:30–12:00 | How to Solve the Space Debris Problem

This session brings together leaders in space sustainability, including:

CONFERENCE: BIOSECURITY AT THE FRONTIER

Imperial will be hosting a major conference, Biosecurity at the frontier, at Scale Space in White City Campus on Wednesday 10th June 2026 (9:15am – 5:15pm).

This high-level conference brings together global leaders to examine emerging biological threats and the actions needed to address them. Moving beyond analysis, the conference will focus on building the frameworks, partnerships, and capabilities required to strengthen biosecurity globally.

Participation is aimed at senior figures across government, international organisations, research institutions and industry working in defence, security, biotechnology, AI, diagnostics and therapeutics.

PARTNERS at London Tech Week 2026

Stephen Cowan, Leader of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, will also be speaking at London Tech Week in the session The Upskilling Imperative: Preparing for the Jobs of Tomorrow (Tuesday 9 June | 15:30–16:00 | Ignition Stage | Tech for Humanity track).

This timely discussion will explore how organisations can stay competitive as roles evolve faster than traditional hiring pipelines, and how innovation can drive inclusive economic growth.

Solena Materials has been selected by the Department for Business and Trade to exhibit at London Tech Week on Monday 8th June, alongside world-class tech leaders, innovators, and investors. The team will be at their stand to talk deep tech technology and explore partnerships ahead of their anticipated Series A investment round later this year.

Solena Materials began its journey in White City Innovation District’s I-HUB and is now based in WestTech London’s Old Oak Innovation Cluster at Grapht Works – London’s first dedicated facility for pilot and demonstration advanced manufacturing.

This London Tech Week fringe event is your opportunity to meet the founders from Imperial’s MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management programme.

London Tech Week will be coming to White City Innovation District with Imperial Enterprise Lab and Nexus (Imperial x H&F) hosting the must-attend fringe event: What to Get Right in the First 1,000 Days of a Startup
