Digital Creative Network West

The DCN is an exciting opportunity to convene large anchor organisations, startups and academia and accelerate innovation in west London.

West London is one of the most important global clusters for creative industries with a competitive advantage of superior connectivity, major studios, international screen corporates, strong ecosystem and in-demand talent. We are seeking to promote innovation and collaboration amongst industry, academia and government to address the shared priorities of increasing the supply of skilled workers, increasing studio space, and fostering sustainability.

Join us for a series of inspirational talks from industry leaders with sector-leading expertise to serving film clients worldwide, Esports giants and more! Followed by Q&A & networking opportunities to meet like-minded creatives in the borough.

Who should come: All those who work in TV/Film, media, gaming, advertising and the wider digital creative space in West London (or close enough!) – regardless of size of organisation. Ryan Callard, Lecturer in Games, Media & Music, University of West London

Ryan is a cross-functional creative generalist in audio, visual and games technologies. In his career he has supported the creation of many types of media, from documentaries to game applications, and has personally released a range of products, from music to merchandise.

He is a course leader and lecturer for BA (Hons) Esports with Livestreaming, and also offers lectures in game development and creative project management.

Ryan is also a director of video games company Arrogant Pixel

Jai Harji, Creative Director

Jai is a Creative Director based in West London. He recently won 4 Platinum awards from Muse in New York, with an entire project done with A.I. His clients include Johnnie Walker, the Male Cancer Campaign (the day after the launch of the campaign the charity recieved a call from the NHS asking to endorse it and utilise all the campaign collateral) and Meantime (beer company now sold to SAB Miller).

Ranjith Kumar, CEO, Lakshya Software

Lakshya is a customer oriented company whose services includes Application Development & Support, Maintenance, Application Testing, Designing & Implementation and Talent Acquisition. The company was founded in 2014 in India and has just opened an office in west London. Its clients include CapGemini, EY, Infosys and DryDocks World.

Peter Zacaroli, MD and Senior Colourist, West Digital

Peter started West Digital in 2002 and has built up a following with Directors, Producers and Production Companies. Over the last few years, he’s been specialising in Factual, Factual Entertainment and Features. Recent credits include, ‘Railways of the Holocaust’, and ‘Inside Buckingham Palace’.

Peter will share West Digital Smart Ingest – a groundbreaking new platform designed to streamline post-production workflows and enhance creative efficiency. Developed by West Digital, WD Smart Ingest leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate tasks such as ingest, tracking, transcription, and visual content identification.
